Risk management... Such a hyped term. Everyone talks about it, needs it, learns it and does it! But what does risk management really mean and why did it rapidly become so important?
The main aim of this course is to get an in-depth intuitive understanding of the essence of risk management: how it emerged, developed, applied and why nowadays everyone is just crazy about it. By the end, you are going to realize how close you are to the risk management field and you already possess almost all required knowledge for starting or continuing your journey in risk management.
Sounds over promising, doesn't it? I have designed the course in the form of an ‘inverted triangle’: it starts from an extremely basic and straightforward concept of 'risk' and grows to comprehensive ‘risk management’. The course includes a set of lectures, open questions and downloadable templates of tools used in risk management.
The course includes three sections:
Section 1 - Beginning. You will learn the basics of the risk management and understand how much you already know about it!
Section 2 - Risk management as a process. You will learn how to conduct the full risk management process: risk identification, measurement and creating risk mitigation strategy.
Section 3 - Risk management as a business function. You will learn how to deliver the risk management results in the most impactful and understandable way.
Section 4 - Tools*, software and skills. You will learn about tools and software used on practice.
Tools include Heat map, Risk register, Risk assessment template, Risk and control matrix, Segregation of duties matrix, Quantitative risk modeling.
The risk management is not a rocket science, it is just a practice with flexible rules. If you are ready, let's reveal your inner risk manager! I am looking forward to seeing you in this course!
