Welcome to this e-learning!
My name is Odessa Marie Bruce and I will be your guide for this program.
Let's get started!
This section will answer three essential questions that you should be aware of before starting your journey:
1. What is right Brain Education?
2. Why is it called Right Brain Education?
3. Why start at an early age?
Dr Roger Sperry introduced the Split Brain Theory, which identified how each side of the brain has different primary functions.
The right hemisphere is dominant in children until the age of six. This impacts our the approaches we should take when educating our young children.
Discover the science behind right brain education and learn key principles, including the VGRAMMS method for delivering the right content to your child and the intentionality of home flashcard sessions.
Discover two approaches to right brain education—spontaneous exposure and intentional teaching—and build vocabulary, reading, and math through daily moments and home-based, visual, and tactile activities.
In this section, the videos that follow will answer some of the most commonly asked questions about how and when to use flashcards as well as taking a look at how best to make your own flashcards at home.
Learn how flashcard size and shape affect readability, with guidance on common sizes, including half-A4 and quarter-A4, and when to use larger cards for infants.
Use real pictures on flashcards for accurate input, ensure readable text with clear fonts and dark colors, and decide whether to combine or separate image and text.
Flash cards should be shown quickly enough to see images and hear pronunciation, then adapt pace and energy to each child's unique, pleasant learning style.
Use frequent, intentional, loving, and playful flashcard moments to strengthen neural connections, aiming for at least three daily sessions, with follow-up activities or real objects to reinforce topics.
Practice flashcards anywhere, three times a day or as often as you and your child want, using your child’s favorite spot at home and alpha waves music on YouTube.
Choose the right topics with the Vgramms framework—vocabulary, geography, reading, arts, music, maths, and science—and rotate flashcards organized by topics to keep your child engaged.
Create home-made flashcards by designing a reusable template in PowerPoint or Canva, choosing topics like frogs, sourcing square images, and printing, laminating, trimming, and rounding corners for durable study aids.
Explore essential and creative flashcard presentation techniques for home-based right brain education, and learn to incorporate flashcards in play while leveraging Flashcards Plus for holistic practice.
Learn two essential flashcard methods for right brain education: continuous flash and flash-and-chat, with front-to-back or back-to-front presentation. Use flash-and-chat for new topics, then switch to continuous flash for review.
A few games you can play with you child to more actively engage them in flashcards:
Tap the Card
Peek-a-Boo
Memory Game
All these games will depend on your child's age and readiness for such an interaction. You will be the best judge of this.
There are plenty more games that can be played. I will be adding some bonus videos in the future to give you some more ideas.

Explore flashcard sessions with flashcards plus, pairing each set with an engaging activity like showing objects, art, videos, or field visits to reinforce learning and creativity.
Discover the science and core principles of right brain education, master the basics and art of presenting flashcards, and embrace two golden rules that empower joyful learning at home.
Engage your child at the time of day when they are in a happy mood, address needs like hunger or tiredness, and switch activities or pause to keep learning positive.
Regulate your emotions before teaching to avoid transferring stress to your child, using quick fixes like a 10–15 minute meditation to stay in the right zone.
Congratulations! It's not easy to make time to complete an e-learning like this, but you made it to end!
