Description
Who this course is for:
- Structural engineers
- BIM engineers
- Civil engineering students
Instructor
Have an experience in the field of structural analysis engineering. The practical experience gained includes
modeling, analysis, design and preparation of schematic design, tender and construction drawings using
international codes of reinforced concrete (ACI, ASCE, and UBC97) beside local codes (ECP).
Experience I have not only in the field of structural design, but also I have experience in the field of BIM
technology as I will explain briefly
Experience as structural design engineer:
Design of reinforced concrete structures including (Hospitality, High Rise Buildings, Mixed Use, Office
Buildings, Retail, Residential, Sports Facilities, etc.).
Studying the effect of lateral loads on (R.C.) buildings including the seismic analysis on the structures.
Familiar with the (ECP, ASCE, UBC97 and ACI) and the Egyptian specifications for R.C. structures.
Review and verify design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure
correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function
Give progress reports to clients and senior managers.
Experience as BIM coordinator:
Create and build new techniques to improve quality of BIM department in the company
Searching for new tools, creating new required families and dynamo codes to facilitate BIM
environment and save time of the company.
Updating Revit templates for different types of projects according to their type and required quality
Organizing sessions for training work team to use new tools and techniques easily and faster.
Provide support to the team work and solve problems they face during working in the project
Establishing robust quality control procedures to ensure that all models and datasets are accurate and
that the level of information is fit for purpose
Recording and monitoring the shared data and relationships between models, for example grids, floor
levels and shared project coordinates
Coordinating the data modelling and management process
Coordinating the project teams and liaising with the design team and client to ensure success
