Description
Learn and recognize strategies to aid your child academically and understand the value of knowing your child’s individual strengths in relations to their learning environment. You will identify the needs of your child as you aid them in navigating academic success.
You will acquire knowledge and skills to assist in the development of their child’s academic life, investigating the role of reflection and understanding learning theories. You will know the role of goal setting, time management and open communication in providing intellectual first aid to the academically challenged child. In this course, not only will you be given the academic information for the development of a successful student, but you will receive specific tips and instructions to improve your techniques and interactions to aid your student in academic success.
Recall as you model the skills of a successful and motivated learner, your child will respond accordingly by reaching out to you as their example and mentor.

Instructor
Tracy Atkinson, mother of six, lives in the Midwest with her husband and spirited long-haired miniature dachshunds. She is a teacher, having taught elementary school to higher education, holding degrees in elementary education and a master’s in higher education.
