THE STEPS FOR DRAWING EXERCISES:
1.- Make points at top and bottom of page (1 ½ “from top and bottom).
2.- Draw the central vertical line from head to crotch
3.- Measure the head to the full figure (how many heads are in the body?).
4.- Think about the movement of the central line from head to neck to torso.
5.- Think about the direction of the shoulder line, chest line, waistline, hip line, knee line, and ankle line.
6.- Draw the central line of legs, feet, arms, and hands.
7.- Think about the negative space between the arms and body and between the legs
.
8. Build the shape around the central lines
9.- Show the overlapping lines.
1.- Look at the model, not your paper. Start from the top part of the paper. Keep the pencil touching the paper. No broken lines.
2.- Follow the silhouette line. Don’t worry about the proportions.
3.- Create the proportion and direction of the silhouette shape. Keep the same pressure
4.- With feet, hands, face – draw more details of the outline
5.- Use the entire paper. Use 1-inch margins on top and bottom, otherwise the figure will take up the whole paper
1.- A combination of blind contour drawing and looking at the model part by part. Connect the line from part to part (shoulder to elbow, elbow to wrist, wrist to tips of the finders)
2.- Draw the overlapping line – the line in front and behind (when one leg is in front of the other leg).
3.- Think about the negative and positive space between the torso and arms, fingers, legs, and feet.
4.- Keep the same pressure when drawing.
5.- Use the entire paper. Use 1-inch margins on top and bottom, otherwise the figure will take up the whole paper.
