After completing your Reiki 1 certification course, putting your Reiki knowledge and skills to use in practical ways is essential for growing your connection to Reiki energy and yourself. Don’t let your certification course be one beautiful day or weekend of learning and relaxation- carry that feeling forward! Allow Reiki into your life as a regular healing and relaxation practice you can rely on.
Reiki 1 focuses on healing the healer before anything else. The attunement connects the healer to the Reiki energy, turning on the ability to channel Reiki, like switching on a light bulb- you are full of light. Reiki 1 cleanses the healer, especially the aura and chakras, and allows the healer to become a clear vessel for Reiki energy. It opens the healer to the idea of using Reiki for the good of all.
Sure, without practice, you can still channel Reiki energy- you’re connected to Reiki energy for life after your attunement. BUT practice will help your connection grow stronger and the strength of the Reiki you call in will improve as well.
It takes 28 days to make a habit so this 30-day course is designed to give you all of the tools and routines you need to make Reiki part of your daily life- in just 15 guided minutes a day. You’ll get a downloadable tracking calendar too so you can document each day’s practice and stay involved in the course. And when your 30 days are up, you’re welcome to continue to refer to these videos and ideas.
Whether you finished your certification course yesterday or 35 years ago, these methods of incorporating Reiki into your life will help you align with the Reiki energy.
You’ll get more comfortable with sensing the hibiki or subtle sensations and more familiar with what it feels like when Reiki flows through you and to you. You’ll start to feel a natural pull to want to give Reiki to people, things, situations- everything around you! You’ll know when Reiki can help (which is usually always).
Each day of this course will include three suggested ways to practice Reiki- including a Gassho meditation, a method for practicing self-Reiki, and an idea for sharing Reiki beyond yourself. And I’ll keep it short enough to make it practical and doable!
The only thing that limits what we can share Reiki with is our imagination so allow your mind to run wild and let the Reiki flow! Don’t feel boxed in by my suggestions. Maybe you want to extend part of the practice or sub in another idea. You’re welcome to freestyle any time- follow your intuition- whatever you feel called to do is the perfect Reiki practice for you!
I also recommend getting a journal specifically for documenting your findings from your Reiki practice routine. You’ll be amazed to see how your clarity and connection grow with time.
I’m also including a printable journal that’s specifically made for this course if you don’t have a journal you like already.

You get it- there are LOTS of things to give Reiki to, so let’s get started!!
Begin with gassho to invite Reiki energy and follow day one self-practice hand positions from eyes to feet, balance the nervous system, finish with ken yoku and journaling.
Write your future intention, breathe with the heart center and third eye chakra, empower your manifestation with Reiki, beam energy to your journal, imagine love and abundance, and thank Reiki.
Practice day 3 reiki self-session to balance crown to root chakras with gassho and palm placements. Use Ken Yoku dry bathing to release stuck energy.
Practice the day four Reiki self-session, moving through standard hand positions from heart center to head, throat, shoulders, belly button, hips, and feet, then thank Reiki energy and perform kanakku.
Learn how to channel Reiki to jewelry—cleansing, charging with positivity, and storing energy that can be transmitted to you when worn, while supporting relaxation and intention manifesting.
Schedule and send Reiki to future events, your day, and others—from self to the space, room, or waiting room—visualizing Gassho posture, calm, healing energy, and everything going smoothly.
Day 6 gassho meditation guides you to fold hands, focus on the space between the palm chakras, deepen breath, and honor the Usui Reiki precepts for daily practice.
Practice giving Reiki to the earth and atmosphere, start in Gassho, then scan for energy needs and finish with dry bathing (konnyaku) for cleansing.
Begin with gassho, invite peace and world healing, guide Reiki through your hands and body with inner intuition, then cleanse with kunioku and offer released energy to the light.
