This training is intended for experienced IT system administrators, network security officers and members of their organizations who will install and manage the RedSeal product.
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX is helpful to manage the RedSeal appliance and virtual RedSeal instances.
Learn to run data import tasks in RedSeal, monitor import status, and view configurations in maps and views; import FortiGate configs, export files, and manage network objects and rules.
The Model Issues tab shows items that may be preventing RedSeal from having an accurate and complete model of your environment.
The Best Practices tab allows you to see the results of Best Practice Checks (BPC’s) performed on your network device configs.
Three different categories of BPC’s are supported:
•RS Checks – developed in-house at RedSeal HQ, based on multiple equipment vendors’ best practice hardening guidelines
•STIG Checks – these are the DISA STIG’s
•CIS Checks – these are developed using the CIS Benchmarks
The FW Rule Analysis feature allows you to quickly identify any potential areas of concern regarding configuration of your Firewall rules.
As part of the process of building and maintaining your model, scan data for your Hosts is also imported into RedSeal on a recurring basis. To view this Vulnerability data for your environment, select the Vulnerabilities tab.
The Vulnerabilities and Risk tabs allow you to view and prioritize remediation on the Hosts (servers, workstations, etc.) in your environment.
The RedSeal Platform is a Network Security platform that continuously identifies critical attack risk and non-compliance in complex enterprise security infrastructure. It provides organizations with a firm understanding of where security is working, where improvement is needed, and where the greatest cyber-attack risks lie.
This training is intended for experienced IT system administrators, network security officers and members of their organizations who will install and manage the RedSeal product.
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX is helpful to manage the RedSeal appliance and virtual RedSeal instances.
You will learn:
