So you’ve got a great idea for a podcast, and you’ve done all the prep work. You’re so close to being able to hit record and start shining. The last thing you need to consider is how you’re going to capture your audio and video.
You’ve done all the prep work, you’ve got all the gear, and you’re finally ready to record your first podcast. In this lesson we’ll learn how to put all your equipment together, how to make sure you get the most out of your guest, and some helpful tips to make sure that you get the best audio and video possible.
Now that you’ve recorded your podcast, it’s time to move into post-production. This is an essential part of podcasting that will result in the professional video and audio you’re looking for. Think of it like preparing a meal - you’ve spent all this time ensuring you’ve got high quality ingredients, and now it’s time to cook them into something that’s greater than the sum of its parts.

Enhancing audio - EQ, Compression, other techniques
Problem solving - common mistakes and how to fix them

Video editing - setting up multitrack, basic colour correction
Syncing up video with edited audio, explaining difference in timecode between devices
Overlaying logos, intros, etc.

In this lesson, we’ll cover how to actually post your podcast to your preferred audio and video platforms, as well as some general tips for growing your audience.

Lesson 5 is an editing crash course, and will teach you the fundamentals of editing audio and video on any editing software. You’ll learn how to enhance your audio quality, make your podcast flow, add intros and outros, as well as fix many of the common mistakes that can happen during a recording.
Lesson 6 will show you how to upload your podcast for the world to see, and how to use an RSS feed, blurbs and keywords to elevate your show to the top of people’s lists. We’ll also touch on some different ways you can market your podcast, and how you can turn your podcast into engaging social media clips.
