Reborning for Beginners

The Reborning for Beginners Artist Course is an entry-level program designed for those new to the art of creating reborn dolls. In this course, students will learn the foundational techniques necessary to transform a blank vinyl doll kit into a lifelike, realistic creation. Focusing on the essentials, participants will start with creating a basic bald reborn doll, mastering key skills such as the application of realistic skin tones, depth layers, veining, and other delicate painting techniques. The course will guide students through the process of layering paint to achieve a natural, baby-soft complexion, as well as how to create realistic features like shading, blushing, and mottling.

Students will also learn how to assemble the doll, including how to weight and secure the limbs for a realistic feel and pose. The course emphasizes safety and ethics, introducing students to the proper handling of materials and the emotional aspects of creating lifelike art. By the end of the course, students will have completed their very first bald reborn doll, with a deep understanding of the techniques involved and the confidence to explore more advanced projects in the future. Whether for personal enjoyment or as the beginning of a new artistic journey, this course is the perfect starting point for aspiring reborn artists.

No experience or knowledge is required to participate, just an open mind and ability to follow directions.

1 Cloth body

1 Gemini starter paint set (from bountifulbaby)

1 Gemini Matte Varnish

Gemini thinner

1 detail brush set

1 standard paint brush set

1 pack standard cosmetic wedges

1 pack Jumbo cosmetic wedges

1 porcelain paint pallet

1 oven (e-wave, nutrichef, or similar round counter top style)
