Identify essential acrylic painting supplies for this class: two brushes (flat and round). Include masking tape, a canvas sheet or board, a glass of water, tissue, and space for colors.
Block the canvas to build a sky-to-sea gradient with Prussian blue, white, and teal; set a horizon around 40% from the top and lay the base with blue and brown.
In step 3, define the beach and sea with purple and white to form a shadow, then blend into the blue area with gentle horizontal strokes and layered distant mountains.
Paint realistic waves by outlining three outer lines, then add white lines inside, keeping lines parallel to horizon and using diluted white with blue and purple accents near the beach.
Add the rocks and distant mountains using layered browns, whites, blacks with green accents, carefully applying texture, light and shadow, and visible brushstrokes to create a vibrant, three-dimensional seascape.
Finalize the seascape by carving rock shadows, refining waves with thin lines and white layers, and shaping beach textures with a twisted brush for realism.
Post your seascape paintings to the project section or Instagram, tag me, and apply class techniques to create a new piece for the 100 day project.
