Description

Three reading techniques are taught.  These are: Skim Reading; In-Depth Reading and Scanning.

This course is designed to help with AI detection.

We all need to be AI detectives. The principles of AI detection will be discussed.  I will focus this course on three main factors these are: reading techniques; media headlines and the practical implications of AI.

1. Reading Techniques – it is apparent that the consequences of AI is not completely understood. In this new era humans are lacking in their theoretical insight about the power of technology.  Despite this, we will all need accurate reading skills to become AI detectives.

2. Beyond the Headlines- this week I have read numerous articles on Linkedin. Some claim that the financial markets have turned AI into a “bubble”. Investors may interpret AI as a usual “boom or bust” scenario.

At the dawn of the AI revolution, it is apparent that this technology cannot be easily turned off. Writers are now contending with the consequences. Many claim they are overwhelmed by editing work that is minimising their role, re-writing includes many mistakes and clearly there is a need for AI detection.

3. Practical Implications - you may notice from my insights already that I am not a usual freelance writer or teacher. For nearly 20 years I have also been a criminologist and independent researcher. Moreover, this means that I am in a perfect position to cover three key principals for AI detection:

Communication – currently AI is used and understood in the same way as other forms of technological processing or software. Unfortunately, AI is unique and, in many ways, “uncanny”. This means it is not only different but has the unique status of no accountability. There is no easy way of identifying its source and humans will need to be able to detect AI.  This course will help you overcome basic reading problems to become an AI Detective!
