Dr. Melissa Cohen completed her doctoral Research project on “How Small Businesses can use Crowdfunding as a Finance Resource”. As part of the requirements, I read over 200 scholarly, peer-reviewed research journals on crowdfunding, finding the research-backed ways to improve the chances for receiving full funding for crowdfunding projects.
I also interviewed 6 successful small business owners who used crowdfunding, ranging from over $1K to $1M. There were some actions that were similar across all 6 companies and a few noteworthy actions for the $100,000+ projects. I hope to bring those facts and research to help you improve your chances of funding your small business so that you can get started or grow.
As for my education background, I have a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky.
