In this video, I provide an introduction of this course and why I created it.
So, what is the goal of this course?
In this lecture, I urge students to start a journal so they can document their progress. A journaling habit is a must in your personal development journey.
This lecture contains a daily practice that I have derived from the works of the late Louise Hay. This is an important, quick and sure way to measure your level of self love, especially handy in the early stages of your self-acceptance journey. The very first time you do this exercise, make sure you write down the feelings, emotions and their intensity. This will serve as a benchmark in gauging your self-acceptance and self-love over the course of time.
This exercise may trigger intense emotions, have a journal handy!
Also included in the link is Louise Hay's talk on self love. A lot of new material has been derived from this work of Louise Hay, I do not believe in reinventing the wheel and calling it mine, so I am sharing a link to Louise Hay's video that helped me change my life and is sure to help you in your journey.
Due to years of conditioning, we have learned to identify with our thoughts, as a result, we give thoughts more meaning than they really have in actuality. We tend to view thoughts as something real, concrete and immutable and not something that is arising and passing and mutable. So, what we end up becoming is a non-empowered entity that is in the mercy of our thoughts and the thoughts of others that are projected towards us.
A mindset that our thoughts are who we are, an important aspect of identifying with our thoughts is a dangerous way of living life and often leads us to a life of victim-hood, perpetual un-fulfillment and disengagement.
This lecture helps you understand that we are more than our thoughts and sets stage for the body scan meditation that will allow us to slow our thoughts down so we have enough time to respond to the thoughts in the way we choose to vs. blindly reacting and perpetuating the cycle of self loathing when such thoughts arise in our minds.
Demo of the body scan technique that we can use when we get undesired thoughts at any during our day as well as a daily practice to start or end our day with. This meditation practice will allow us to clear our head so we can respond to the challenges of the onslaught of negative thoughts in a way that serves us.
This video is for you to use anytime to transition from a thought pattern that is no longer serving you. I will also create and upload a downloadable MP3 version of this file.
People pleasing is a habit that robs us from our ability to say NO , in order to protect our sanity and to establish healthy boundaries. In this video I discuss the need for us to be able to exercise the power of saying NO, to reclaim our personal power. By the end of this video, students will understand why saying NO is essential in order for the pendulum to swing to a balance. This is one of the three important tools besides the self-love mirror exercise and the body scan meditation. This lecture concludes our first section.
Why are we so affected by what's in our minds and how our body is and some combination of mind and body when we are really more than the sum of our mind and body? In this video we touch upon the aspect of us that transcends the mind and the body. I propose a simple question that will allow you to understand how valuable hour existence is and why identifying with either the mind and the body is causing us to forget out spiritual nature.
In this Journey to self-love, there will be times when you will be faced with challenges. How do you handle these challenges and still keep at it?
Spot and stop when spiritual bypass is happening before it reaches a level of unwarranted toxicity!
We are all guilty of spiritual bypass, as long as it is a phase we can grow out of or can be in and out of by bringing in awareness into what is going on in our mind and in our actions, we can overcome spiritual bypass. However, when we start to really believe in our own grandiosity and start to discount others as inferior in our journey, all of the work that we do in developing ourselves as a human being stops to make sense.
In this video, Coach KP talks about how loneliness can be overcome by experiencing it and then changing your state.
Ever struggled with accepting yourself a 100%? I suspect most of us never even pay attention to this question. Too many overt and covert voices inside and outside of our heads are bombarding us with reasons to not be loving and accepting of who we are. More interestingly, we have been so used to identifying ourselves with the definition these voices provide us that we have forgotten who we are at the core.
This course is designed to take back our personal power from all of what has been keeping us away from self-acceptance. Learning to see ourselves beyond thoughts, beyond our bodies and beyond being a sum of all parts is the goal of this course.
