Oracle Fusion accounting hub is a powerful module which allows you to integrate disparate source system to your accounting system so that you can generate accounting in a common platform. Your source system may have different types of transactions, some may generate some accounting, some may not. Some may use the same chart of account as your ERP, some may not. Oracle Fusion acts as a central transformation engine which receives different types of transactions and converts those to accounting journals using SLA rules.
Without accounting hub, organizations find it difficult to control the processes in source systems and struggle in accounting when they consolidate. By using accounting hub, transformation rules can be defined centrally which will allow in standardizing the processes.
All sources systems defined in accounting hub act as a subledger similar to Receivables, Payables etc. When accounting journals are created, you can search those journals in General Ledger using the source systems names you have given.
You can also generate various reports using OTBI which will show the data coming into accounting hub and getting transformed into GL journals.
Accounting hub implementation sets the foundation for standardized and controlled transformation of disparate source systems data into your ERP.
