Developing people is one of my passions since a little after a meeting with a vice president twenty years ago when I was presenting a new software and he asked me what was the most important: people, processes or infrastructure. My answer was processes and he was disappointed. He explained me why I should have said people. Nobody understood him at that time, but I started thinking about that.
My name is Alex da Silva Lucas. I have MPM degree (Master of Project Management), post graduation in Project Management, graduation in System Analysis, PMP and PSM I certifications.
I have 15-year experience in people, portfolio, program, project, and IT management; and 5-year experience in Scrum.
I have 32-year experience in software development. I started programming when I was 14 years old, have worked on every software development life cycle: planning, defining, designing, building, testing, and deployment, and I am CRM system specialist, with 20-year experience.
I have worked on many business segments: consulting, retail, restaurant, finance, credit card, collections, telecom, industry, home care, health care, hosting, data center, call and contact center.
I am founder, partner and former CEO on a hosting company, but I have worked as General Technology Manager; Portfolio, Program, and IT Governance Associate Manager; Software Engineering Associate Manager; Application Development Associate Manager; Program Project and Service Management Associate Manager; Senior Consultant; and System Analyst, throughout my career.
As a leader I have been focusing on people, because developing people and treating them well make all the rest possible. Empowerment is the secret to success.
