    The Eight pieces of brocade QiGong is one of the most common forms of Chinese QiGong used as exercise. This 800-year old exercise, which the ancients likened to beautiful brocade, the form as a whole is broken down into eight separate exercises, each focusing on a different physical area and energy meridian.

    Master Ping is from China, he is a level 6 QiGong and TaiChi master with over 24 years experience .  With his fluent English, clear understanding of Chen Style Tai Chi and years of experience teaching international students, he is really professional and well done.

    All of these exercises are easy and straightforward for people to learn and practice. they are very effective in helping to reduce high blood pressure, heart disease, arthritis, neurasthenia. The Eight Pieces Brocade QiGong(八段錦 - Ba Duan Jin) is one of the most common forms of Chinese QiGong used as daily exercise. This exercise is mentioned in several encyclopedias originating from the Song Dynasty for about 800 years old.

  

This kind of QiGong focus on the breathing and stretching.  Through deep and slow breathing method, it will allows the muscles to relax and our mind to be calm.  The brain will get a chance to rest and more oxygen and nutrients will reach the individual cells.

The Eight Pieces Brocade as a whole is broken down into eight separate exercises, each movement has its benefit and focusing on cleansing and stimulating a different physical area and various Qi meridians ( energy channel ) inside us.
