Instructors
Megan Haskell is the award-winning author of The Sanyare Chronicles, a fast-paced dark fantasy adventure featuring a kick-ass heroine, snarky carnivorous pixies, and a quest across nine faerie realms. Sanyare: The Last Descendant (Book 1) received a Readers’ Favorite Bronze Award and was a finalist in the 2017 IAN Book of the Year Awards, and Sanyare: The Rebel Apprentice (Book 3), was named a finalist in the 2018 Book Excellence Awards. Her most recent release, Forged in Shadow was named a Readers' Favorite Honorable Mention in Epic Fantasy.
Megan Haskell and her teaching partner, Greta Boris are popular workshop presenters. Together and separately they’ve taught at libraries, writing conferences, and writers guilds from California to Texas on topics ranging from time management for authors, to story structure and character development, to revising the manuscript, and choosing a path to publication. In 2020 they founded The Author Wheel to help their students Produce, Publish and Promote their writing.
Greta Boris is the USA Today Bestselling author of The 7 Deadly Sins, standalone novels of psychological suspense. Ordinary women. Unexpected Evil. Taut psychological thrillers that expose the dark side of sunny Southern California. She's also responsible (whether she likes to admit it or not) for the new Mortician Murder Mystery series featuring a rockabilly-hairdresser turned mortician. Her stories have been called atmospheric, twisty and un-put-downable.
She’s also the Co-Creator with Megan Haskell of The Author Wheel, a site for writers on writing, and the nonfiction book PUBLISH - Take Charge of Your Author Career. She describes her work (and her life) as an O.C. housewife meets Dante’s Inferno.
