Finding a great niche is the most important part of creating a profitable low-content book. If your niche selection is incorrect from the start, the book you create may not sell. This could be due to facing significant competition or not having enough people interested in your particular niche. Therefore, it is essential to approach niche selection methodically and later test each against a set of proven standards to ensure that your niche can sustain a profitable book. I will now demonstrate a fantastic free method for initially finding niches!
There is a quick and effective way to discover profitable low-content book niches, which I primarily use. This method involves using a website that provides instant data on popular low-content books, allowing you to assess the feasibility of creating a book in that niche easily. Keywords are words or phrases that individuals enter into the Amazon search bar to discover books similar to yours. Our goal is to identify excellent keywords that are frequently searched for but face minimal competition. In this lecture, I will demonstrate how to accomplish this using an effective and cost-free method.
There are two primary methods for discovering keywords more efficiently than the one in the last lecture. These approaches provide valuable Amazon search data, offering a clearer picture of how each keyword might perform if used in your book's title, subtitle, or keyword slots on the KDP dashboard. What makes these methods particularly advantageous is that they are both faster and simpler than the manual method mentioned earlier.

Now that we've identified the promising keywords for our low-content books, the next step is to optimize them to maximize their effectiveness. We can accomplish this by utilizing the Book Metadata Tool, as introduced in Lecture 4, to craft our title, and subtitle, and populate our 7 KDP dashboard keyword slots. This approach is highly effective and has a proven track record. Cheers

At this stage, we are going to look at a simple method for determining your book's Amazon categories. Categories are simply groups to which your books belong. This helps browsers find books similar to yours. This method is the easiest way to discover relevant categories for your books using the Amazon platform itself. Once you have found the most relevant categories for your book, you can make a note of them and use them later when uploading your book to Amazon KDP.
In the realm of low-content book publishing, the quality of your book cover wields a profound impact on your sales performance. Subpar book covers are an obstacle to achieving significant sales. It's imperative to adopt the perspective of your potential readers and critically evaluate whether your book cover stands shoulder to shoulder with the competition and resonates authentically with your target audience.
A great way to decide on what your low-content book covers should look like is to check out your competitors and see what is selling well. If you adopt a similar aesthetic, it will resonate with your core audience and result in a higher click-through rate. Gathering information from a variety of books can assist you in determining which features to include on your own book cover.
In this lecture, I outline the things you need to create your own book cover and demonstrate how to set up a digital working area and gather your design assets to start designing your low-content book cover. In this lecture, we'll delve into the primary method I employ for crafting my book covers, which not only streamlines the process but also yields exceptional results. The time efficiency gained through this approach can then be channelled into other vital steps of the process, such as keyword research for future books, description writing, A+ content design, or marketing your low content books.
In this lecture we take a look at the final way to make your low content book covers and speed up the process to the quickest it can possibly be. The downside of using this method is that the results can be somewhat inconsistent. This means that you can fall into the trap of revisiting and revising your cover until you get a result you like (which can waste time). However, there are many self-publishers now using this method and are doing very well with it!
In this lecture, I will demonstrate another tool you can use to create your book covers. The advantage of this tool is that you do not require a 3rd party website to grab your creative assets and fonts. This makes the process of creating your own book cover a lot easier!
Having explored book covers, our next step is to delve into book interiors. To kickstart this process, it's essential to conduct thorough research on Amazon, examining your competitors' interior designs. Pay attention to their featured elements, imagery, font choices, page counts, and any unique selling points they incorporate. This valuable information empowers us to identify the factors contributing to your competition's book sales success, enabling us to emulate their achievements and elevate the quality of our book interiors.
Let's shift our focus to the book interior creation. In this lecture, we'll explore a couple of methods for creating your book interiors using free software. Now that your low-content book is live on Amazon. You can now take a number of steps to optimize how your book is presented to your potential buyer. In this section of the course, we will be looking at what things you can do to add perceived value for the browsers and how these things can give your books the edge in comparison to your competitors. In this first lecture, we will take a look at Author Central and the use of the editorial reviews section to highlight our book's best features.
This lecture shows you how to create A+ Content for your Low-Content book. A+ content allows you to add images to your Amazon book pages. A+ content is critical for low-content books simply because low-content books do not have a look-inside feature like high-content books do. Therefore you must create A+ content to showcase this. Additionally, creating these images helps drive traffic to your other books and build brand authority.
Creating a hardcover version of your low-content book is a fantastic way to not only expand your potential reach with extra keywords but also give you a way to show the browser how they can save some money and grab a bargain through hardcover price leveraging. This is a neat psychological tip which is a great way to convince browsers that the lower priced paperback is a great deal and therefore get more conversions.
One of the best tools you can use on your author central page and your book's pages is the use of video content. There are so many low-content books out there that don't use videos so immediately if you do for your low-content books it dramatically increases the chances of your book converting into a sale over your competitors. Why is this? Put simply if a brower can see someone else holding your book showing the cover off and flicking through the pages. This gives so much more visual and kinaesthetic information than a mock-up can or even the look-inside feature and essentially convinces the browser to trust in your product.
At this stage, it is useful to check and potentially optimize your book categories. Ultimately, your low-content books want to be in the most relevant categories that have the least competition. Publisher Rocket is a great way to achieve this. But alongside this, there are a couple of key points that need to be discussed with regard to Amazon book categories, one of which can potentially cause issues for your books. This lecture highlights these points and how to use them to your advantage.
When your low-content books are live on Amazon. They receive a web link for every individual Amazon store globally (a lot of links). This means when you promote your books you either have to use a single link or multiple. Using multiple doesn't look professional. However, using one link from one store runs the risk of a person from another country being unable to buy from their location around the world. Also getting instant access to your books, promos and socials can be made effortless with the use of QR codes. In this lecture, we look at how we can create one link for all stores and create QR codes so people can access your books easily.
