Paul has been working as a senior technical project manger for twenty years now working in the public and private sector for both large and small organisations. Paul is a highly influential project manager, technical trainer, public speaker and is the author of a number of online blogs aimed at supporting project managers.
Paul currently owns and runs his own project management consultancy specialising in technical project delivery, project management training and project recovery.
Paul started his career in the British Army building personal skills and knowledge which now complement his role as a technical project manager. Paul left the army as a senior instructor having served in a number of specialist units.
After leaving the army and completing vocational courses in engineering and I.T.
He started his technical career as a Microsoft systems engineer working for various government organisations, and then swiftly moved into Unix Solaris design and development.
Paul found his niche in the field of project management recognising that the skills he built up in the army, supported by his technical background, made him a confident and effective project manager.
Paul has worked his way from being a junior project manager through to programme and portfolio manager and has worked in all areas of delivery such as software development, complex I.T. infrastructure and business change projects.
Paul still works in the industry now delivering projects for a number of high profile clients.
Paul organises and delivers a number of online and on premise project management training events and is passionate about supporting new project managers when they first start project delivery.
Paul currently lives in the North East of England.
