What you'll learn

  • Pass the Scrum PSD I assessment with confidence, using original exam-style questions written to the current published focus areas
  • Apply the Scrum framework correctly from a Developer's perspective — events, artifacts, accountabilities and commitments
  • Define and defend a strong Definition of Done, and recognise when work is genuinely releasable
  • Use test-driven development, unit testing, test automation and testing strategy the way the assessment expects
  • Apply continuous integration, continuous delivery and build discipline inside a Sprint
  • Handle emergent design, architecture decisions and refactoring without stopping delivery for a redesign
  • Work effectively as a cross-functional, self-managing Developer: refinement, collaboration, pairing and shared ownership of quality
  • Answer under real time pressure, so the tight assessment clock stops being the reason you fail

Description

Pass the PSD I assessment on your first attempt.

PSD I is the Scrum certification that catches people out, and the reason is simple: it is not a Scrum exam. It is a Scrum and software engineering exam. You can know the Scrum Guide cover to cover and still fail, because most of the assessment sits in the territory where the framework meets the codebase — test-driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, emergent design, and what "Done" actually means when quality is not negotiable.

Then there is the format. PSD I carries one of the highest passing thresholds in the entire Professional Scrum assessment family, paired with one of its tightest time budgets. The assessment is technically open book, but the clock makes that irrelevant — if you have to look something up, you have already lost the question. You need answers that arrive on instinct, and instinct only comes from repetition under pressure.

That is what this course is for.

What you get

  • Full-length practice tests that mirror the structure, difficulty and relentless pacing of the live assessment

  • A detailed explanation on every single question — why the correct answer is correct, and why each plausible alternative fails

  • Weighted the way the assessment is weighted, with the bulk of questions on developing and delivering products professionally: refinement, cross-functional and self-managing teams, design and architecture, programming, quality, and testing — plus solid coverage of the Scrum framework itself, people and teams, and managing products

  • Scenario-heavy questions drawn from varied industries, because the real assessment asks what a Developer should do, not what a term means

  • Practice under time pressure, so exam day is a repeat performance rather than a first attempt

  • Kept current with the Scrum Guide and the official published focus areas

  • Unlimited retakes, randomized question order, mobile-friendly, lifetime access

How to use this course

Read the Scrum Guide first — properly, not skimmed. Then sit the first test cold and timed. Do not pause it, do not look anything up, and accept that the score will sting. The explanations are the real course material, so read every one, including on questions you got right by luck. Where the gap is engineering practice rather than framework knowledge, go and do it in your own codebase: write the test first, break the build deliberately, refactor something ugly. Where the gap is Scrum, reread that section of the Guide. Repeat until you are clearing the pass bar comfortably with time to spare — then book it.

Worth knowing: PSD I does not expire and carries no renewal fee. Pass it once and it is yours permanently, which makes it one of the better-value credentials in the Agile space.

Before you enroll

This assessment assumes you work on a software product. It is not tied to any single language or stack, but it does expect familiarity with modern development practice. Every question here is original and written from the current published focus areas. These are not brain dumps. This course is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the organization that administers the Professional Scrum assessments. Professional Scrum Developer and PSD are trademarks of their respective owners.

Who this course is for:

  • Software developers preparing for the Scrum PSD I assessment
  • Developers on Scrum Teams who want to prove they understand both the framework and the engineering practices behind it
  • QA engineers, testers and DevOps practitioners working inside Scrum Teams
  • Tech leads and engineering managers who need a shared quality vocabulary with their teams
  • PSM I holders adding the Developer-side credential
  • Anyone who has failed PSD I once — usually on the engineering questions rather than the Scrum ones — and needs targeted practice
  • Not suitable for people with no software development background; consider PSM I instead
