Before a presentation starts, it's important to get the room set up so you can focus on the presentation rather than technical issues.
Having delivered presentation training in hotels and client offices all over the world, there are times when technology doesn't work. Whether connecting via Airplay, HDMI, VGA (less common today), Clickshare you want to get to the room early to make sure it's all working as you want it to.
If I am training in a new venue, I will always give myself at least 60 mins before the start time.
In this video I demonstrate whilst in my home studio. Please be aware that every venue is different but following these steps will help set you up for success.

The use of eye contact when presenting is critical to engage with the audience and build your credibility. In this video I focus on how to use eye contact whether it's with a small group or a large arena. How long should you look at someone and how can we include everyone in the room!
Whilst this programme does not focus on PowerPoint design, I am aware that many presentations are given to you and you have to bring the content alive and make it interesting.
