In this episode we will learn a very fast and efficient technique to breakdown our footage into categories that can easily be grabbed once we begin our first draft edit.
In this episode we will go through a step by step first draft edit with explanations and general descriptions of our thought process as we go. At this point it is encouraged you follow along but also focus on choosing clips and interview parts of your personal preference.
After taking a break from our first draft edit, we will go back through our timeline with fresh eyes and ears as we tweak and adjust and finesse the project. Repetition and constant analysis is key.
Now that we have an edit we are happy with, we will go back through our timeline, clip by clip, fixing over/under exposed shots and adjusting temperatures as well as saturation levels using the Lumetri Colour effect.
This episode will focus on giving our edited timeline a final audio check. We will apply some parametric equalizers for better sounding audio aswell as manually adjusting decibel levels using keyframes throughout the edit.
In this episode we will create a lower third (title card) using the text and shape tools and apply a nested sequence so we can animate the elements together using keyframes.
We will also animate the company logo using the keyframe process.
Now that we have our finely polished edit of the clients promotional video, we will give the timeline one final rendered playback, before we go through a step by step process of exporting the edit into a mastered file that is then ready to be delivered to the client.
