This course will teach you all essential tools and settings inside of Premiere Pro. You will be ready to edit any project after this course.
From start to finish, you will professionally edit then export a highly polished promotional video of an Artisan Market in multiple resolutions.
You WILL learn invaluable techniques to organize and edit large projects at a very fast pace making you ready to compete in an ever demanding industry.
We will create titles, graphics and lower thirds from scratch. To make them more visually appealing we will learn how to animate them using keyframes.
We shall also learn to colour correct over/under exposed footage as well as adjusting colour temperatures to match our footage.
We will break down and edit an interview and learn the practice of using it as a narrative vehicle driving our edit.
You will learn how to manually adjust audio clips with key framing as well as applying equalizers to improve sound quality.
We will also cover how to export our finely edited video for multiple platforms that require different video output dimensions.
Going forwards in your career, you will utilize all the techniques and wisdom learned herein, and apply them to any video project that comes your way.

HOW TO EDIT AN INTERVIEW42:17
Here, we will go through a step by step process of breaking down an interview and extracting the content we need for our project. This process will have a strong emphasis on time and efficiency.
ORGANIZING AND BREAKDOWN OF FOOTAGE40:50
In this episode we will learn a very fast and efficient technique to breakdown our footage into categories that can easily be grabbed once we begin our first draft edit.
FIRST DRAFT EDIT1:38:06
In this episode we will go through a step by step first draft edit with explanations and general descriptions of our thought process as we go. At this point it is encouraged you follow along but also focus on choosing clips and interview parts of your personal preference.
SECOND DRAFT EDIT27:50
After taking a break from our first draft edit, we will go back through our timeline with fresh eyes and ears as we tweak and adjust and finesse the project. Repetition and constant analysis is key.
COLOUR CORRECTION27:36
Now that we have an edit we are happy with, we will go back through our timeline, clip by clip, fixing over/under exposed shots and adjusting temperatures as well as saturation levels using the Lumetri Colour effect.
EDITING AND TWEAKING AUDIO IN THE TIMELINE9:15
This episode will focus on giving our edited timeline a final audio check. We will apply some parametric equalizers for better sounding audio aswell as manually adjusting decibel levels using keyframes throughout the edit.
CREATING TITLES AND GRAPHICS AND APPLYING A NESTED SEQUENCE28:53
In this episode we will create a lower third (title card) using the text and shape tools and apply a nested sequence so we can animate the elements together using keyframes.
We will also animate the company logo using the keyframe process.

Now that we have our finely polished edit of the clients promotional video, we will give the timeline one final rendered playback, before we go through a step by step process of exporting the edit into a mastered file that is then ready to be delivered to the client.

The demand for portrait style videos is ever increasing. In this episode we will learn how to efficiently and quickly recreate our 1080p video to suit the 1080/1080 dimensions of Instagram and re-export the same version which can also be sent on to our client upon request!
