This is an introductionary lesson where we will talk a little about what awaits you and how to prepare mentally for our little PowerPoint design journey.
Here you can download the project files, which is the presentation itself and a few example photograps to use if you don't have them. You can create the presentation on your own, the project files are not mandatory.
This lesson will teach you how to design appealing, high quality and on trend for 2016 / 2017 and further PowerPoint slides. PowerPoint no matter which version you use, Powerpoint 2010, Powerpoint 2013 or Powerpoint 2016 has all the same options in terms of design and we should make good use of it to produce high quality slides which people want to watch instead of dull and boring presentation.
Here we will use a lot of PowerPoint tricks in order to get out slide to look as we desire. We will subtract certain elements from each other, work with images and prepare creative alternatives of the middle part.
With this powerpoint slide design I want to teach you what makes a good presentation. You can switch between two colors much smoother if you make one slide to feature / fill in the color that will come next. The viewer will see what approaches him and will be more prepared to recieve the content.
In this slide we will do something really unique and good looking. We will design a custom image box and outline it with a nice, gradient border. We will select matching colors for the image and other elements we have on our slide :)
With the fifht slide I wanted to tacke down something that is very common (and sometimes boring) ....bulletpoints! If you are really having a dry slide and just poining something out with bulletpoints at least try to change their size, color, icon and use nice fonts to make everything more pleasant for the viewer.
With this lesson I want to show you a global approach to animating any slide you need in PowerPoint. Try to make animations consistent across multiple slides so the entire presentation and it's slides look alike and the viewer is not distracted by too many variations of the same thing.
This is another Quick Tip from my regarding PowerPoint and the usage of images. I would like to show you here how to fill out any slide with a picture with ease. We can use the crop tools so powerpoint will do all the heavy lifting for us :)
With this lecture I want to gratefully say thank you for learning with me and wanting to improve your PowerPoint skills. Presentations can be really amazing if they are prepared and designed well, you are satisfied about the design and the person who will read, learn or recieve the presentation itself will be amazed! I hope you will create a lot more slides in the future following these simple principles I've showcased here!
