Description
Few things are more important as a career coach than helping clients get the job they want. Preparing your clients for the job interview is one of the most important aspects of getting the position they are seeking.
This course will help applicants learn how to answer interview questions such as:
"Why should we hire you?" This question presents a great opportunity for your client to make their case about why their experience, knowledge, training, and education is the right fit for the job they want.
"What are your weaknesses?" Don't answer this question with phony replies such as "I work too hard," or "I'm too much of a perfectionist." An experienced recruiter will see through those disingenuous answers. There are smart ways to reply to those questions. This course will help you deal with that query.
"What are the three greatest achievements of your career?" Make these successes relevant to the job you are hoping to get or the company you want to work for.
"What are the biggest obstacles you've overcome in business?" Dealing with challenges in an effective, constructive manner is a way to demonstrate the applicant's maturity and resilience to a prospective employer.
"Do you have any questions for me?" I can almost guarantee you that job candidates will be asked that. Make sure they are prepared with smart, insightful questions and not self serving ones such as "How much vacation time to do I get?"
Remember: every question posed is an opportunity for your client (Or yourself) to tell their story about why they should be hired.
In this course you will also learn how to:
Answer the question, "So tell me something about yourself." This is a golden opportunity for interviewees to make their case about why they are the right fit for the position they are going for.
A great story can help get a job.
Use the power of your voice. Your voice is a powerful instrument that conveys passion, enthusiasm, and energy.
How to talk about why you were fired. (If that's relevant)
Do your homework about the company. There is no bigger turnoff than a job applicant being ignorant of the company they want to join.
Google the person is conducting the interview. One never knows what the applicant and the questioner might have in common.
How to send the right kind of thank you note to the interviewer. This another opportunity for applicants to state why they should be hired.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone who wants to help people ace job interviews.
