Power Prep for 한국어능력시험 TOPIK Ⅱ Writing is one of the TOPIK prep courses provided by K-Study Korea. This course focuses on getting students ready for the exam on their own pace. About TOPIK exam
TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) is an official exam to test Korean language proficiency that is run by Korean government. This exam is a must exam for those who would like to come to Korea for study, work, or marriage. Basically, students need level 3 to apply for a university and level 4 for graduation. To be employeed by major Korean companies, level 5 or above is neededed.
TOPIK results are used for university admission and academic management of foreign Korean Government Scholars, university admission for foreigners and overseas Koreans who have completed 12 years of education abroad, obtaining working visa for those who want to be employed at Korean companies and others such as for spouse visa, medical doctor qualification, etc.
Instrustor
Prof. Kim, Nam Mi is currently a research professor at Writing Center of Sogang University. She majored in Korean Language and Literature and has doctor's degree at Sogang University. She has written numerous books on her area.
What will students need to know or do before starting this course?
These lectures are based on the textbook , New TOPIK Writing for Intermediate & Advanced (paperback, Pagijong press) but there will be no big problem watching lectures without textbook. Students need to complete at least level 2 of Korean language to understand these lectures, The lectures are done only in Korean. You should be able to understand intermediate level of Korean language and able to read and write Korean.
