Watch a brief introduction video for the power braining™ basic instructor training course to get started.
Explore neuroplasticity and how the brain changes with thought and action, and master power training with four to six exercises targeting visual, auditory, respiratory, motor, muscular, and proprioceptive systems.
Explore neuroplasticity, cognitive reserve, and neurogenesis, and learn how lifelong brain changes arise from daily challenges, exercise, diet, sleep, and social interactions to boost brain health.
Power Braining's basic instructor training equips instructors to deliver brain body training via neuroplasticity and technology, emphasizing safety, adaptations, CPR certification, and insurance.
Explore diverse power training programs tailored to audience and outcomes, including brain and balance thrive, Max 35, Vive 12, Vive 23, and Spark 15.
Power branding classes span 12 to 35 minutes and blend physical, cognitive, breathing, and mindfulness exercises guided by video coaches, while instructors motivate and tailor minor modifications.
Begin each class with a warm up, a stretch, and a brief introduction, to raise heart rate, loosen joints, and prevent injury, while the instructor models proper form with energy.
Guide to a full-body stretch routine including neck tilts, head rotations, arm and shoulder stretches, a back bend, hamstring and calf stretches, and a final shake out.
Practice proper breathing to deliver oxygen to the brain and body, breathe at a pace of 10 seconds per breath (five in, five out) with 20–30 second segments.
Lead cardio cog exercises that raise heart rate with aerobic activity while presenting precise cognitive challenges under mild duress. Provide options for all fitness levels and motivational prompts.
Perform jumping jacks or modify them while solving the on-screen math problem and shouting the answer on the beat, and switch challenges if you can't do the physical part.
Power ups train strength, balance, and proprioception through sit-to-stand exercises, improving body awareness during cognitive tasks and boosting cognition while reducing injury risk.
Dextercise boosts finger dexterity, hand strength, and mobility through deliberate pinching and movements, with breathing cues and gaze at the monitor and video coach to enhance proprioception.
Demonstrate dextercise sequences using tabletop and claw grips, emphasize tight grip release and very definite movements, and celebrate with positive feedback.
Master written cognitive challenges by completing one word recall or rapid math task per class on paper, with timed recall sessions and speed-focused math to boost memory and calculation speed.
Follow a video coach to clap, tap, or touch exactly on the beat, using visual and auditory cues to nail the metronomic tempo to the millisecond and a cognitive challenge.
Practice timing exercises to train your brain clock and synchronize eyes, ears, hands, and feet by matching movements to the beat.
Demonstrate timing training by counting out loud in fives, from five to ten to fifteen, and keep going.
Engage in cognitively and physically challenging rapid-reaction exercises that integrate visual and auditory cues to improve processing speed, reaction time, working memory, and motor control.
Target processing speed and working memory through think fast exercises that blend auditory and visual processing with seated motor movement challenges, supporting focus, attention, and executive functioning skills.
Practice rapid attention and movement by following colored arrows and auditory commands, coordinating color recognition with directional responses while moving your arms.
Review the five pillars of brain health—nutrition, exercise, sleep, socialization, and training the brain—and share tips on brain-healthy foods like omega-3 rich fish.
Design inclusive training for diverse physical and cognitive abilities, offering regular and low-intensity seated options. Instructors ensure safety, demonstrate techniques, motivate participants, and provide one-on-one help when needed.
Learn how to run a successful POWER BRAINing™ group class!
POWER BRAINing™ is a suite of cutting-edge, online wellness programs, which train the brain and body at the same time. The BRAINing™ Center's team of expert doctors, trainers, and scientists spent over a decade researching, developing, and testing POWER BRAINing™ in hospital centers, senior communities, and fitness centers.
Leveraging the latest advancements in the fields of neuroscience and physical performance enhancement, POWER BRAINing™ integrates specific physical, cognitive, breathing and mindfulness exercises. This multi-sensory engagement challenges the brain to organize better and process information more effectively, while training the body to respond quicker and more accurately.
POWER BRAINing™ is delivered as fun, easy-to-follow, online classes. Our engaging video coaches guide you through the classes, providing all the instructions, demonstrations, and movement alternatives. This means that instructors don't need to create any content; instead they can spend their time motivating, and providing guidance to, the participants. It also allows participants to train at their own pace, while ensuring that the content is always precise, consistent, and up to date.
POWER BRAINing™ can be run as either a large or small group class, with an instructor leading the class. In this Instructor Training Course you will learn about the basic science behind POWER BRAINing™, the types of POWER BRAINing™ programs available, and the best practices for running a successful POWER BRAINing™ group class.
