Description

A healthy mindset is a way of thinking that allows for positive thoughts and optimistic outlooks. It is a state of mind in which an individual believes that they can achieve their goals and maintain a high level of well-being. A healthy mindset also includes resiliency, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace change.

A healthy mindset involves finding ways to grow from your thoughts instead of letting them control your life. Rather than dwelling on a negative thought until it becomes overwhelming, the healthy mindset tries to a) move beyond that thought or b) simply accept it.

Instead of obsessing over a positive mindset, we should focus on cultivating a healthy mindset. I say that because you can have a healthy mindset even if you feel negative sometimes.

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.

Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
