Piano Readiness course: Parents with kids age 9 & up .

This assessment course will give you and your child a good indication as to what is required to learn the piano.  The course can be done with your child to determine if they are indeed ready to learn how to play the piano.  The course  starts at the very beginning and you and your child will be taken through a series of short videos which include some assessments and worksheets.  The course teaches  the fundamentals of music notation and your child will play some simple pieces.  As a parent, you will be able to determine if your child is able to focus for the required amount of time, and if they manage with the given tasks.  If this course is enjoyable for them and they've managed to learn these foundational concepts, then you can be assured they are ready to pursue learning the piano.  This course is a  great way to determine if your child has a musical aptitude and eagerness to learn the piano before investing in lessons and a piano, which can be an expensive undertaking if your child is not keen!  The course starts right at the beginning & follows a systematic approach to teaching the fundamentals of music, learning to read notation & playing the piano.
