PHP is a server-side scripting language that enables web developers to construct interactive content that interacts with databases. This course is for complete beginners who want to learn PHP but have limited knowledge of computer programming.

PHP is the most popular scripting language on the web. Without PHP Facebook, Yahoo, Google wouldn't have existed. The course is geared to make you a PHP pro. It is a widely used server-side programming language that’s become increasingly fast and powerful over the years. PHP works well with HTML and databases, making it a great language for anyone interested in building dynamic web applications.

What distinguishes PHP from something like client-side JavaScript is that the code is executed on the server, generating HTML which is then sent to the client. The client would receive the results of running that script, but would not know what the underlying code was. You can even configure your webserver to process all your HTML files with PHP, and then there's really no way that users can tell what you have up your sleeve.

The best things about using PHP are that it is extremely simple for a newcomer, but offers many advanced features for a professional programmer.
