Even though there is no right or wrong method to erase, using Layer Mask is likely the better option for most scenario in Photoshop.
In this Section, we will learn how to add filters such as Blur, Sharpen and more to your photos, in addition to those you have learnt in Section 2 such as Brightness and Contrast.
In this lecture, we will be looking at one of the most commonly used filters for photo adjustments - blur.
We will also go through the important concept of isolating your filter in a layer.
You may wish to sharpen your image if your image resolution is too low, or you are blowing up an image and it becomes a little pixelated.
Take note not to sharpen too many times as it will make your photo look fake.
The Filter Gallery provides you many filters for your photo. Adjust the sliders and properties to find your ideal spot.
In this lecture, we will look at a very important properties, and that is Layer Style.
You can achieve many effects in Layer Style, and amongst them, some are more commonly used than others. You will learn some tips on using the Layer Style in Photoshop as well.
There are many options you can do with the Filter Menu in Photoshop. Do not be afraid to try them out, as they are merely sliders and settings to adjust the degree of effects being applied to your photos. Remember you can always undo, or exit without saving to restart again.
Adding Text is likely one of the most common function you will use in Photoshop. In this Section, you will learn how to add text, and adjust your text quickly and beautifully.
In this lecture, we will be looking at how to create Text in Photoshop. We will also learn the way to change the Text opacity, color, size, font, as well as other properties.
We will revisit on the theory of Raster vs Vector, and realised that Text is a Vector. Hence, certain decisions cannot be made until you rasterize your text.
The Character Panel is a convenient panel to edit many common properties for text. Keep this panel open if you are working with text often.
We will look at more ways to transform our text, and how to trace a text over a shape outline.
We will revisit on the Layer Style panel again and realised that many properties are suitable for Text. Attributes such as Stroke, Drop Shadow, and Outer Glow works well with Text.
Adding Text and positioning them is easy in Photoshop. This Section taught you all the Essentials you need to start working with Text. It is now up to you to choose your Text font, color, opacity, and position them carefully to achieve a beautiful output.
This Section teaches you the powerful Clone Tool and Healing Brush Tool. Tips are also given for each tools to increase your efficiency in working with them.
In this lecture, you will learn how to use the Clone Stamp Tool to remove away unwanted objects realistically, or to duplicate objects in your image. You will understand how this tool works, as well as learning tips on using this tool.
We will continue to look at the Clone Tool and some of its shortcoming. We will also look at how to overcome the shortcoming to use this tool more efficiently.
You will learn how to use the Spot Healing Brush and Healing Brush Tool in this lecture, as well as understanding the difference between them.
You will also understand the differences between the Healing Brush, and the Clone Tool, and which one to use in different situations.
Care should be taken when using the Clone Tool or Healing Brush Tool to ensure a clean edit. You should, on your own, spend more time to touch up your Clones to achieve a realistic and clean edit.
This Section shows you more options you can do in Photoshop to make the most out of this software. It builds on existing knowledge that you have already know and show you what else you can do with Photoshop.

There are many different extensions for image file. In this lecture, we will look at the 3 very popular extensions - JPG, PNG, and GIF.
We will learn the main differences between the 3 different extensions, as well as the recommended one to save under different scenario.
