This is a short summary of what we are going to cover in the course.
So stay hyped and get yourself ready to learn!
I would advise you to practice on the same object as me but further on you should use your own references and model/shade another product so you learn more.
In the first lesson we are importing reference images and place them properly so we can work with them.
Also we are going to do a rough blockout of our product.
You can also use my reference images, which you can download below.
We are going to give our blockout a general shape and start modelling out some rough details.
Detail, detail, detail! Now we are modelling out all the holes and start optimizing our topology.
In the last lection of this chapter we are modelling out all the buttons, logos, screws, etc. and finish up our object.
Get ready to head into the UV's and start texturing your model!
In this step we are going to work on the materials for which we don't necessarily need textures. We are dipping into the world of procedural materials.
The last and final step of the shading chapter will be to add imperfections. We can adjust the roughness with a color ramp and so we have a lot of control over the imperfections and can even combine some of them.
Down below I will leave some imperfection maps for you to download!
In the last part you are going to learn how to set up your render to get the most out of it!
Welcome to my Photorealistic Product Rendering Course with Blender!
If you always wanted to create stunning photorealistic close up shots of product you came to the right place!
In this course you will learn how to set up a workflow for creating photorealistic product design renderings.
Together we will go through the whole process of modelling out a product. Starting with setting up our scene properly and blocking out our geometry. Then, step by step, we will start adding more details so our model is appealing to the viewers eye.
Shading is the most important part as soon as it comes to photorealism, this is going to be the most difficult part, but as everything in life, practice and time makes the dream work! So we are going to take a deep look into surface imperfections, procedural shading and displacement maps.
Last but not least we start working with different render layers. This is the most important part if you want to get into compositing or get the best out of your renders - it is going to take your images to the next level!
Once you mastered modelling, shading and compositing you will be able to create stunning images and animations!
Don't hesitate to ask questions, everybody needs help from time to time and I'm always there to help you out!
