Philosophy of science is concerned with fundamental questions about science and scientific concepts. Some of these key questions are: What is science? What is the general purpose of science? What is the Scientific Method?

This course attempts to provide a general overview of these responses and explore the difference between scientific and non-scientific knowledge.

The course can be followed as a practical guide on how to understand science: how it works, its historical development and its function in modern society. It provides students with an insight into scientific methods and objectives.

Through this discovery, students will gain an understanding of what science is, how it has developed, what its core traits are and how to distinguish between science and non-science.
