This course will present an overview as to the importance of programs and how they differ from the management of multiple projects. This overview also focuses on the relationship of program management to project management and portfolio management. This course also will focuses on preparing people to take and PASS this difficult exam. It contains study tips, a discussion of the various key concepts in each of the domains as well as in the Examination Content Outline, and practice test questions.
It is followed by the key activities to be performed in the five program management domains – Strategic Program Management, Program Life cycle, Benefit management, Stakeholder Management, Governance Management. Through a combination of mini lectures and group exercises, participants will learn the importance of each of these five domains and what is necessary for success in each one. Additionally, the program management life cycle and the benefits management will cycle will be stressed during this session.

Instructor
Eng. Akram Alnajjar, is a creative and innovative leader with proven successes in the areas of Project and Program Management. He earned his Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
He is known for his accurate identification of project management organizational needs and for devising unique solutions to improve projects, and programs (multiple projects).
After he started his career 30+ years ago in the construction industry, Eng. Akram has worked with projects and programs in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, and Nigeria. He has helped in introducing project management techniques in the governmental and private sectors and has provided project management excellence training worldwide in Moscow, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu-Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, Algeria and Egypt. His last position as employee was in Port-Harcourt Nigeria as projects control Manager for Agip/ ENI group one of the leading Italian Oil and Gas Company, where he was responsible for planning and scheduling all company’s gas projects and cost control activities as well. He implemented PMI Project Management system as it was the company’s system.
In addition to being a Professional Civil engineer, he is the first person to be certified PgMP (Program Management Professional) in Egypt 12th to be certified PMP (Project Management Professional) in Egypt, and second to be certified PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) in Egypt by Project Management Institute (PMI).
Eng. Akram is also a Certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) by AACEI the Advance Association for cost engineering international.
Eng. Akram holds a Post graduate Diploma in Construction Management from Ain-Shams University in Cairo
