  • Softwares Download and Install - Intro1:12

    Identify the free software to download and install for pfSense on GNS3, including VMware, the pfSense image, and Microsoft network adapters to connect and configure the router.

  • Download and Install the needed Softwares15:41

    Download and install the required SRI software and its VMware virtual machine, then set up Wireshark on Windows to run pfSense and other emulated devices in labs.

  • Download and Install Pfsense image on GNS37:55

    Learn to download pfSense 2.6.0 64-bit iso, import the appliance into GNS3, install and run pfSense, and prepare for web-based configuration.

Description

You are possibly looking to this page because youw ant to run Pfsense on GNS3 so you can do LABS. This is the right place :)

Pfsense is a BSD based software that you can use it for routing, firewalling, VPN, and much more things. In this course, I will show you step by step how you can have Pfsense installed on a single computer machine so you can emulate LABS. Additionally, I will show you how you can connect your real PC to that Pfsense virtual router so you can configure, and I will show you how you can connect the Pfsense router to the internet. All those steps will be shown on this course step by step so at the end you can deploy similar scenario on your PC.


The nice thing about this course is that you do not have to pay any penny to get this working. All you need to have is a PC and internet connection on that PC, then all softwares are free of charge and once you put them together you will have Pfsense running and you do practise LAB.

Of course on this course I am not going to make configuration on Pfsense because this is out of the topic for this course, but surely in future courses I will be showing you how you can configure Pfsense router and, trust me, everything will be covered :)
