Since practicing is better than preaching, we adopted a new model for creating this program. All exercises are designed to help you develop your strategic plan, step-by-step. The facilitator role is to assist you to understand the terminology used and the central concepts, but it is still up to you to follow through and finish all the exercises and articulate your goals.
The ultimate objective of this program is for you to be able to create your compass that will lead you to transform your life.

You are required to download the workbook (attached) and print it. Yes, PRINT it as you will use the worksheets provided to organize your thoughts.
Personal strategic planning is a process not only to define your long-term goals and how you will reach them, but it is also a process to know yourself, to get a deeper and clearer understanding of what makes you unique (your gifts, talents, skills and personal qualities). It also helps you understand your external environment, your circumstances, your support systems and the challenges that you are facing.
Your personal strategic plan is your roadmap and the call of action for the next phase of life. It will be the guiding framework for taking decisions, setting priorities and boundaries. Whenever you feel that your life is out of balance, you can consult your personal strategic plan to regain and maintain the balance in your life again.

Our lives are busy with responsibilities, activities, and people … all demanding a slice of our time and a portion of our energy. Learn how to determining your priorities will move forward in your life.
Your values are your beliefs that guide you in life. You take decisions and live your life based on them.
Your vision will serve as a checkpoint every time you are facing a challenging decision. Just ask yourself, will this help to actualize my life vision or not.
Your mission is different from your vision. Your vision is how you see your future, while your mission is how you will live your days. Your life mission statement helps you stay focused, and spend your time and effort in all the right places.
Don’t get intimidated by the word analysis. Analyzing your life will help you understand why things happen in your life the way they happen. In this stage, you will observe your life in the areas you determined. Then, you will focus on understanding what is going on, why it is happening, who are the key players, what is your role in it, is it good or bad, and so many other questions that will enlighten you and strengthen your understanding of your life.
When you start analyzing your life, you will take inventory of your blessings as well as the challenges you face. You will increase your self-awareness including your thoughts, your struggles, what makes you tick and what triggers your fears and put you under pressure.

Patterns in your life are the repeated actions, behaviours, situations, and results. Some patterns are favourable and some are not. You need to uncover unfavourable patterns and design a system to eliminate them and identify favourable patterns and enforce or maintain them.
