I will teach you the basic knowledge of Persian/Farsi grammar in this course. You will learn how to make simple sentences in Persian. In the first lesson, I will give you some detailed information about the general features of Persian, such as its word order, how being a pro-drop language works, types of subjects, tenses, etc. We move on to lesson two to learn Persian independent pronouns that can act as the subject of a sentence. Fortunately, there is no gender in Persian, so this section is not complicated. Then we move on to lesson three in which we learn how dependent pronouns or endings work. They are small language elements that are connected to the verbs to show the subject. That's why we call Persian a pro-drop language since if there is no independent subject, these dependent ones can tell us who is responsible for the verb. In lesson four we will learn how to conjugate the most simple and basic verb in any language in the present tense, and that is 'to be' which is 'budan' in Persian. Finally, in lesson five we conjugate the very same verb in the past tense. At the end of this course, you'll be able to make simple sentences. Don't forget to watch other free courses in Persiancampus, that are present here under the title 'Persian alphabet'. It includes four videos in which I teach you not only the alphabet but also a wide range of vocabulary and many simple Persian texts. If you cover these two courses, and the following course Persian Grammar (2) together, you will start speaking Persian little by little. So, let's begin.
