Watch a concise trailer that previews the Pencak Silat course, highlighting the Golok focus and the path to mastery.
Explore two ways of learning pencak silat: golok basics and sabanda training. Master golok handling through stick drills, turning, and coordinated movement to block, attack, and counter with proper range.
Learn basic golok handling through sambaran exercises that generate downward force, return the blade under the armpit, and avoid leading with the sharp side.
Combine movements with the golok, practicing basic exercises that use the wrist, shoulders, hips, and body rotation to maximize power and dynamic.
Panglipur Style
Cecep Arif Rahman is an excellent martial artist and film actor from Indonesia
Cecep practices the Panglipur Style, which comes from Garut (Indonesia, Western Java).
The specificity of his style is that it combines fast and soft techniques with fast and hard techniques, the principle being the use of both at the same time in order to surprise and to destabilize the opponent.
First, you’ll study in this film the basic techniques of the Golok, thanks to handling exercises.
Then comes the learning of the force. You’ll learn that, according to the given force, it’s possible to launch a stricke, to block or to attack, concentrated on the point of the Golok.
You’ll learn also the way of turning the Golok, which is necessary to be able to maintain it but also to move the wrist, the hips and the shoulders.
Everything is linked in the “Turning”’ of the Golok.
Once you’ve learned and mastered all these techniques, Cecep will teach you how to move with a Golok, while blocking, while attacking, etc.
Finally, you’ll watch the application work.
You’ll see many ways to defend facing an attack, thanks to very fast and very penetrating replies.
Have fun and success with this course!
