This is an introductory lecture for the course, to give you an overview .
In this lecture you will learn to draft the shell pattern for the shift dress. Along the process, you will learn patterning concepts like : relaxed fit, modified three-quarter set-in-sleeve, funnel/stovepipe neckline, bust-dart released into seam and inverted pleat.
In this lecture you will learn to draft the neckline facing and lining patterns for the shift dress. Also, sewing it to the shell pattern and finishing the garment for the final simulation.
In this lecture you will learn to draft the shell pattern for the trapeze dress. Along the process, you will learn patterning concepts like : transferring darts to hemline and neckline contouring.
In this lecture you'll continue with the drafting of the shell pattern for the trapeze dress. The patterning concept you'll learn is, adding volume to front and mid-front seams.
In this lecture you will learn to draft the all-in-one facing and lining patterns for the trapeze dress. Also, sewing it to the shell pattern and finishing the garment for the final simulation.
In this lecture you will learn to draft the shell pattern for the wrap dress. Along the process, you will learn patterning concepts like : wrap-around style line, neckline contouring, transferring darts to hemline and single to multiple dart conversion.
This is a continuation of previous part where you'll finish drafting the shell pattern for the wrap dress.
In this lecture you'll learn to finish the wrap dress by drafting and learning patterning concepts like: circular ruffled collar with bias binding, armhole facing & combined curved front and hem facing.
Its a continuation of the previous where you'll be finishing the dress for the final simulation.

In Part 2 of this series, we move beyond structured foundations into silhouettes that represent freedom, movement, and modernity in fashion history.
This course focuses on drafting three influential dress styles inside CLO3D: the Shift dress, the Trapeze dress, and the Wrap dress. Each of these designs marked a turning point in how garments interacted with the body—shifting away from rigid shaping toward ease, volume, and functional elegance.
You will learn how to manipulate your existing blocks to create unfitted and semi-fitted silhouettes while maintaining balance and professional construction standards. The Shift will teach you control over ease and proportion. The Trapeze will strengthen your understanding of flare distribution and A-line shaping. The Wrap dress will guide you through functional pattern engineering, ensuring both structure and wearability.
This is not about copying historical garments. It is about understanding their construction logic and translating that knowledge into contemporary digital drafting.
Throughout the course, you will refine your ability to control volume, manage silhouette expansion, and draft garments that move naturally with the body.
If Part 1 built your structural foundation, Part 2 expands your creative range and strengthens your drafting confidence.
By the end of this course, you will not only have three completed dress patterns—you will have a deeper understanding of how silhouette communicates design intention.
