This Parenting U Baseline Assessment section wrap-up prepares the student for the next section.
This section picks up from the theme of collecting data about what we are doing as parents. Parenting U is going to touch on a sensitive topic of ignorance. The students will be dealing with their truth. This section will come with a downloadable Workbook to be used for each lecture of this section.
This lesson starts the section off with a truth principle. Parenting takes time so this lesson is about time. Remember to use the workbook.
Parenting is a long term commitment filled with change. This lesson is about the principle of change.
The final principle to build our foundation for moving forward is the Rule Of absolutes. Parenting can could with expectations and thinking that falls into black and white, right and wrong mindsets. These mindsets can add unnecessary stress. Understanding this principle is as important as the Time and change principles.
This course is about being open minded about parenting. It explains that as we gain experience we will naturally begin running closed minded programs to help us with making choices moving forward in life. But these close programs can bite us if we refuse to look at the open side of things.
The only way we learn is by being inquisitive. Our culture in parenting is to act as if we know everything we need to know which gets us into trouble. SO the lesson is about being open enough to ask questions as often as you can.
This lesson follows up from the previous lecture. As parents as must accept our ignorance and we need to do more than just ask questions we need to be open to help and support.
In the wrap up of the section we are putting everything we've learned up to this point and getting ready for the sections about understanding how we think and behave and how our children think and feel.
In this section students will learn about the IPO's of cognition. This section comes with its own Workbook to accompany each lecture. Here is where you can download the workbook for this section of lectures.
A parents we are going to be taking in information. Parents are humans so this lecture is about how we take in data. The differences in the way we each will perceive the world.
Behavior is what this lecture is about. We will act out now or we will store thoughts away for later use. Outputs will connect with feelings and these are the ingredients for opinions and beliefs. As parents it is important to understand this effect of cognition.
In this lecture of Parenting U's crash course we talk about what occurs between inputs and outputs. The mental and emotional processes that are running open and closed programs and other meta-programs that help us act, think, feel and behave.
The P of IPO's is powerful and as Parents we need to understand how to tap into this power. This lecture starts to give us clues to how we can become empowered parents.
This lecture talks about the connection between thoughts and feelings. Parenting with this knowledge and understanding can be used to help us monitor our own mood and feelings. This a a step towards stress and worry relief.
We wrap up this section before we move into understanding the mind of a child.

Another master is the field of child development is covered in this lesson as we explore "feelings" development of the development of esteem aka as Psychosocial development. As parents if we know what are children are focused on related to feeling about themselves we can better support and help them build strong self esteem.
Values and how they are developed is covered here. As parents if we can understand how a child views the world we can better teach values.
From whom are are children modeling their behavior? When do they start modeling? As parents knowing this can help us do a better job of examining the environment our children are exposed to and guiding their behavior via demonstration and environmental exposure.
The student ( Parents) will learn about this tool of a framework that incorporates the frameworks of the masters. The cognition tower is an easy to understand way to understand the complexities of the developmental stages children go through.
The Student (parent) will learn about how thoughts and emotions move our Ego orientation referred to as the ME elevator up and down the cognition tower.
Here we will wrap up this packed filled section to help with keeping all the knowledge together. We now have an understanding of adult and children minds.
In this section we will have a workbook to down load to assist with each lesson. Parenting with the lessons learned so far will need a "how to" to effectively work. This section is gets into the "how to" use the cognition tower and the ME elevator to become the best parent possible.
In this lesson we will have a closer look at things that Parents we be dealing with as our children move along the biological time line.
In this lesson students ( parents ) will be addressing the struggle children have with connecting words to feelings. And how this struggle fits into the cognition tower timeline.
Parents & Children have a lost communication method that will be reintroduced and explained in a way that most parents have never learned. This power language works with children and adults. The lesson also has a link to an off site assessment test. What is your Love language? The lesson talks about the five types of Love

Earlier in the course student learned of the parenting Method wheel. This wheel is made of roles. and in this lesson we will look at the major roles of parenting.
Parenting consist of job duties aka task that must be performed many fall within a role. Here we look at how a meta preference dictates the way we prefer to perform these task.
Planning is about being prepared. Parenting doesn't come with any schooling so we aren't really properly prepared to be parents. Students and Parents will learn about the importance of preparation prior to constructing their parenting plan
Parenting Plans are like policies or rules. Here the student will look at how we should construct, set and abide by the policies.
The Parenting Agreement is what this course has been building up to and we are now ready to begin its construction. This lesson spells it out.
The wrap up of this section will help to solidify what parents and students have learned up to this point. each student should be starting to create their own parenting agreement.
In the section Students and parents will cover one of the 3 big roles, the most important role of parenting. Student will have an agreement but we will need to work on a few things in order for the agreement to work and for our children to grow up in the best possible way. The workbook that comes with this section is a large workbook that will cover this section and the next two.
Parents and Students will learn about modeling role of parenting. It is the most important and why that statement is fact.
In this Lesson students and parents will link the parenting agreement to modeling. Why its important to abide by the agreement and how by how we honor it we will be modeling that trust to our children.
This lesson talk about modeling from a sibling or minors perspective. While Parents will likely be the primary influencers in modeling, siblings and other young children will be as well. The imprinting to modeling stages of transition with siblings often give rise to the copy cat effect.
As parents we learned our behavior from our parents. What we learned we will either copy or reject. When we reject without other options to learn from we end up with the 180 degree effect. Parents and Students will learn of the cycles of this effect.
Parents and Students will learn that our children see everyone as a model to copy so this lesson speaks about what we need to do to become aware of the influencers who will act as the models for our children.
Parenting requires many roles and this role covered in this section is perhaps the most important of all roles. What we model our children will learn. This wrap up pulls all the lessons together as a recap prior to moving on the the second of the 3 big riles parents must play.
We will model or teach without knowing but we will also teach with knowing that we are teaching or instructing. This role is coaching. How we coach can effect they way our child will feel about learning. This section will use the same workbook from the previous section.
To be an effective coach requires one to be able to see many side of a situation. Parents and students will learn how to see things from 3 different point of view. With this insight parents will be better at help their child understand what we are trying to teach.
While it important to see all side of a situation if we use an improper attitude when coaching all the insight we have to share is meaningless. This lesson teaches students and parents the four main attitudes and the one that is best for effective teaching.
Here the student will get examples and better understanding of one of the four types of coaching attitudes
