- In this section, I'm just going to introduce the course and run you through some of the course content.
We will talk about Shantala's origins - where did it come from? How did this ancient massage come to the west?
We are going to know a little bit more about Frédèrik Leboyer and the woman who inspired him.
I'm adding here the photo of the book cover I placed in the presentation so you can search for it - this is. French version, but this book is published in so many languages, you will be surely able to find the perfect one for you.
What are its benefits - why do we still apply this to our children?
Who is it for? When do we have to be careful?
It's important to go a little bit deeper on this because we can really develop something if we don't know what results we can expect. Let me just say, this is an ancient massage routine, that is still applied today... Why? That's what you will find out here! :)
We are also going to discover when to apply this massage, when should we be careful, and when we do not apply it at all - at least without medical advice!
In India, mothers often do this at home, in the outdoors... but you may want to create an enabling environment at home, and by saying this, I'm not talking about creating a SPA-like space... just a comfortable "massage-nest" for you and your little treasure :)
Don't forget to see and download the documents I'm adding to this section - a little checklist of things to have prepared, and to have in mind when applying the routine - this will surely be helpful in the beginning.
To help you relax I'm leaving here some Youtube links to help you practice when you feel you the need!
Don't hesitate to try - if a newbie to this - because you think you don't have the time... just start slowly and gently, and try one minute in the morning and one minute at night... and gradually start increasing the time you spend on it... Maybe, one day you'll try one of the longest I suggest here (or other), and maybe on other, more occupied days, having a minute to focus on your breath, or on a flower, or watching the wind shaking some leaves is just what you have! It's ok!... Just be gentle with yourself, and do what feels right for you. :)

Just use the leftovers that are still on your hands from massaging the previous sections - if you need, just take off the excess on a baby cloth you may have near you - and a Quick tip: I always keep one cloth on my leg ;)
- Here we are going to do some Haha-yoga movements with our babies.
Start gently and have fun, and start adjusting as time goes by! They usually love this part!
In this section we will play with some BabyYoga poses that I practiced with my babies almost all day - usually when changing diapers, or playing on a flat surface:
- Inside and out
- Lotus
- Snail
- Push little baby!
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey! :D just stay in touch and share how everything is going!
Parenting can be hard sometimes... a little baby is a world of new exciting and sometimes frightening things! Every day brings some new challenges! But it has some great FUN moments as well!
With this Shantala Baby Massage course I'm going to teach you an ancient Indian massage routine for you to apply to your baby, toddler, or young children, helping them with:
- baby colics; - sleep regulation; - emotional regulation; - immunity boost ... and so much more!
I am a Psychopedagogue with almost 20 years of working with parents, babies, toddlers, and school-aged children, and with Shantala a new world opened up for me, as it brought me a new perspective on how the bond between a child and its carer can mean so much in his healthy development, but also to the carer, as it can bring him the joy of straying in the present, strengthening bonds, and just be joyful and playful for a while.
Come and join me today on this beautiful journey and I'll guide you with videos, audios, presentations, and information sheets that will help your little baby, toddler, or young children so much and provide you with a loving-caring daily moment just to enjoy each other company and presence!
