There has been a significant amount of research studies on aspects of the palms, finding strong correlations between hand features and psychological disposition, genetic illnesses, sexual attractiveness and even the likelihood of success in sports.

Palmistry can be vitally useful or it can be just good fun and entertaining, if it is carried out correctly with an ethical and competent palmist. It can give people general information and suggestions or it can concentrate on something that is of immediate concern to the person being read for. It must be noted that it does have limitations and cannot solve all problems, despite its general usefulness.
