  • GATHERING YOUR EQUIPMENT1:34

    In Lecture 1 we will look at the equipment you might need to paint with. Please download and print off the drawing supplied in the RESOURCES.

    In the SECOND SECTION please have a look at the FREE ADDITIONAL VIDEOS covering -  INSPIRATION ,TECHNIQUES ,COLOUR MIXING AND SURFACE PREPARATIONS , which you may find informative before you start your painting !!

  • TRANSFER YOUR DESIGN & START BACKGROUND PAINTING21:31

    This lecture shows you how to transfer your painting and get started on the background colour. Don't feel you have to use the same colour - try out your own background colour if you prefer !

  • CONTINUING THE PAINTING WITH BASE COLOURS9:49

    This lecture will shown you how to continue adding the base colours of the painting.

    This lecture will show how to start painting in the wren and more work on the poppies.

Description

In this course I will take you through the painting of a charming small bird called a Wren sitting on dried poppies. We will be painting it onto a stretched canvas. I provide an outline sketch for you to download. You will enjoy the process of step by step visual lectures on how to achieve this look. The course will help anyone who has limited experience to improve their skills and knowledge base. Have fun trying out different background colours to the one I have chosen.

In my additional videos ,I will show you how I create colours, what surfaces you could use to paint on, helpful tips and a basic equipment list you can start with without too much financial outlay. We will look at using Acrylic paints and suggestions on paint brushes. Additionally I will show you how you might display your work with minimum outlay.
