STEP 3: Base Leaf Colors3:33
After the masking has dried, Gary applies the first stage of leaf colors with a wet on wet wash.
STEP 4: Throwing Leaves I4:15
Using a loose-bristle bamboo brush, Gary throws on the first stage of leaf colors.
STEP 5: Throwing Leaves II3:55
Using a loose-bristle bamboo brush, Gary throws on the second stage of leaf colors.
STEP 6: Throwing Leaves III4:20
Using a loose-bristle bamboo brush, Gary throws on the third stage of leaf colors.
STEP 7: Scrubbing Sunlight4:03
With a water-loaded stiff-bristle scrubbing brush, Gary softens some of the hard edges sunlight.
STEP 8: Tree Trunks6:28
Gary paints in the visible sections of tree trunks and branches with the paintings darkest values.
STEP 9: Leaf Group Edges3:09
Gary shades and shapes the leaf colors to provide them with more dimension.
STEP 10: Wrapping Things Up7:08
Gary applies the finishing details to complete Autumn Trees.

Requirements

This course is designed for all skill levels, so that absolutely includes beginners -- perhaps especially beginners. Beginners are in some ways at an advantage, as they do not have pre-learned ways of painting. So beginners fear not. It is all step-by-step. I hope and believe that more advanced painters will come away with some new techiques as well.
