    In this watercolour course you will learn how to paint a beautiful traditional English watercolour featuring an old watermill. There are demonstrations on painting summer trees and stonework which you can have a go at before starting on the full painting. I have broken the main lesson down into manageable sections that you can follow at your own pace. Enjoy this painting, I have created a detailed watercolour that will look great when you have finished the course. In the resources below I have included downloadable files featuring watercolour materials and a photo of the finished painting for you to copy from as you do the course.

Requirements

  • This course is for beginners who want to paint a traditional watercolour. You can use students colours, 3 or 4 brushes and some decent rough watercolour paper.

Description

The course starts with some practice demonstrations on how to paint summer trees, stonework, cottages against dark trees, and a graduated sky wash. The full lesson is a painting of an old mill wheel with buildings and surrounding trees using features from the example demos. The course is broken down into bitesize pieces so that you can have a break at any point you fancy. At the end I will show you how to present your artwork. I have included a photo of the finished painting in the resources section for you to download and work from.
