Material List of supplies you will need for this course.
In this section we will go over each of the supplies needed, if you have taken an alcohol ink course with me you will just need to view the additional materials at the beginning.
In this section we will cover Yupo paper and how I prepare it for my paintings. You may choose to tape down your paper if you are completing a smaller painting (5x7). Of course this course is all about you, so feel free to choose a larger size!
Free hand your Horse or you may print off a PDF and use a Lightbox or Transparent Yupo paper to trace the picture.
In this section we will talk about Masking Fluid and learn to outline our paintings with it.
Let's work on a practice session with a wet in wet demo. By the end of this process you will feel more comfortable mixing your colors directly on the paper and learn to create a smooth transition of colors.
You will learn to pour a wet in wet background for your painting. We will work fast and mix colors on the paper. We will be working quickly before the ink dries.
In this section we will be adding our first layers of Alcohol Inks to our Horse painting. You will learn to move the inks using some brush work.
In this section we will carefully add some area's with shadows. Start light and use a small brush if you are new to inks.
We will learn to create the look of Hair on the Mane. Giving is a wispy appearance.
In this section we will remove the masking fluid. Please make sure your painting is completely dry before doing so.
The masking fluid should remove easily without streaking wet ink.
In this section we will use a Blender Pen made by Chameleon.
In this section we will add some depth and personality to the eye by creating some reflections.
We will be adding more layers to the Mane and creating more depth with lights and shadows.
In this section we will add some highlights using a white gel pen.
In this section we will be doing a practice session on using the Mini Mister filled with 91% Alcohol.
Grab a piece of scrap paper from your wet in wet practice session.
Now that you have practiced using the mini mister, you are ready to add some lovely textures on your painting and finish up all the little details and touch ups.
In this section you will see how I seal my Alcohol Inks. If you frame your painting with UV glass I have found that you can skip the spray sealers. I have 2 paintings hanging for over 3 years now out of direct sunlight and they have not faded.
This is an extra Bonus video added from previous classes.
How to give your paintings a professional framing look. In this section you will learn about all the supplies you will need and we will cover how to add backings and wire to complete your painting.
Thank you for taking this course, it would mean the WORLD to me if you would consider leaving a 5 star review.

Here are some recent reviews from ART STUDENTS:
★★★★★ "EASY TO FOLLOW"
I have been a Bob Ross certified instructor for 26 years and I have taught in various venues. Kelly is very clear in her instructions and she makes it easy to follow what she is doing. The class is simple enough for beginners and yet she gives the student plenty of room for creating a little on their own. The instruction on the supplies was also clear and easy to follow.
~Cherly M.
★★★★★ "ENJOYED"
"I enjoyed doing this this painting. I am new to watercolor. Was able to follow, having to go back occasionally. Will probably do this painting several times just for the practice. I contacted the Kellie Chasse sight because of interest in alcohol oil painting. So will be an active student for awhile to come. Thank you for a great beginning!!"
~Kathleen F.
★★★★★ "BIG HELP"
"Because everything was explained so simply, and Kellie's painting in real time was a very big help. I intend to take more of her courses in the future."
~Jill B.
