Fundamentals of practical diagnostic microbiology

‏يغطي هذا الكورس الأساسيات المطلوبة للعمل في قسم الميكروبيولوجي الطبية من حيث الأوساط الغذائية المستخدمة وطرق تحضيرها و كيفية زراعتها ثم يتطرق إلى أشكال المستعمرات التي تنمو على سطح هذه الأوساط الغذائية و التي تعتبر أول خطوة في التشخيص ‏الأمثل للبكتيريا

حيث ‏سيتعلم الطالب انواع الأوساط الغذائية المستخدمة في المجال الطبي مثل

Culture media like macConkey agar, blood agar, chocolate agar

وكيفية تحضيرها والتعامل معها وزراعة العينات المرضية عليها ثم سيكتسب الخبرة الواسعة في كيفية التعرف على أشكال المستعمرات البكتيرية سالبة جرام و موجبة جرام التي تظهر على سطح هذه ‏الأوساط الغذائية

و أهم هذه الأنواع البكتيرية:

Colony morphology of Gram negative bacteria, like E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria meningitidis, Hemophilus influenza, and some rapid biochemical tests like oxidase test, Gram stain, an others like serological tests that used to quick diagnosis of this organisms.

Colony morphology of Gam positive bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus , Coagulase negative staph like “staph epidermidis and Staph saprophyticus”, Streptococcus pneumonia, Viridanse streptococci, Streptococcus pyogenes and streptococcus agalactea, and fungi like Candida spp. , and some rapid biochemical tests like Coagulase test “tube method and slide method”, DNAse test, Manitol salt agar test, Opticin disc, Bacitracin disc, Novobiocin disc that used to quick diagnosis of this organisms
