Description

This course covers P4 Terminal Velocity and Moments from the OxfordAQA IGCSE Physics specification 9203 in full. Every lecture is built directly around the specification so there is nothing missing and nothing unnecessary.

In this course you will learn how drag forces act on moving objects and why they increase with speed. You will understand exactly what terminal velocity is, when an object reaches it, and how to read and interpret a terminal velocity graph. The course explains why parachutes work and how streamlining reduces drag in real-world applications.

You will learn how to find the centre of mass of objects, including the plumbline method for irregular shapes, and understand why the position of the centre of mass affects an object's stability. The course covers moments in full, including the formula M = F x d and the principle of moments for balanced objects. You will apply these to solve exam-style calculations involving seesaws, levers and unknown forces.
