Each section of the course includes a short challenge for you to complete. Here's number one: "Why did you like taking photographs?"

Requirements

  • You should have some experience of taking photographs with a camera

Description

Are you an amateur photographer who used to take your camera with you everywhere but now leaves it at home in a cupboard? Did you once see photographs that you wanted to capture but barely notice them now?

Do you want to start taking photographs again but can't seem to rekindle your enthusiasm for your once passionate hobby?

Then this course is for you!

We will look at six different ways to re-ignite your love of photography. These are different roles you could try out:

  • Explore your neighbourhood as if you were on holiday

  • Curate your photographs to find out which subject you return to most often

  • Disrupt the way you take photographs by trying something new

  • Plan to take the best photograph you can, or create an entire photographic project

  • Experiment your camera and surprise yourself with what appears

  • Celebrate your photography

Each role will include practical ideas for you to try out, and there will be a challenge for you to head out with your camera to take more photographs!

One of the stumbling blocks for an amateur photographer is when they do not feel their work is good enough so the course includes some suggestions on how to bounce back from disappointment and pick up your camera again.

All of the ideas in this course are from my own experience of being a photographer and sometimes falling out of love with photography. I have tried all of them and I hope that at least one of them will work for you!

Who this course is for:

  • Amateur or hobbyist photographers who for whatever reason have stopped photographs but would like to start again
