Description

This course was created for those who are struggling with addiction and are looking for an up to date, practical and proven method to enter recovery and live a life after addiction.  It offers practical tools, draws wisdom from alternative recovery programs and much more.  This course would also be helpful to someone who has a loved one who is struggling with addiction.  This course shows that there are many ways to overcome addiction without having to go the 12 step route only.  We briefly discuss why we don't use the 12 step mythology and the harm it can cause, before moving onto proven methods to help you achieve your best self and show you that there is hope of a life beyond addiction. We discuss the stages of change in detail, to help you understand where in this cycle you are.  We look at various alternative recovery programs, should you wish to enter a program.  We showcase practical tools to not only achieve recovery, but to live a balanced and healthy life post addiction.  We discuss PAWS (Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome), how this can affect recovery and how to handle it. We give you practical tips in planning for challenging situations.
