Explore essential acrylic painting supplies for creating an oval landscape, including canvas paper or oil paper, sticker paper for the oval, and key tools like a knife and two brushes.
Master acrylic tree painting using flat and rough brushes to build textures with 90-degree strokes, blending dark to mid to light tones, and leaving background for depth.
Create a 3D mountain landscape with violet, black, and white, using a feather-light knife technique to build textured peaks and gentle color correction for snow highlights.
Learn to paint distant trees using vertical strokes with a flat brush, layering light greens into darker foreground for an oval acrylic landscape with water reflections.
Create the oval edge with textured bushes along the sticker paper edge by dabbing greens and black with a flat brush, varying colors (green, brown, dark green) and brushes.
Wash off the dark paint, pick light shades, and use a dry brush with very little paint to create vertical reflections from the land onto the lake.
Remove the masking to reveal a crisp oval edge, then gently extend the painting beyond the border to make the landscape appear to protrude from the oval.
Create an oval landscape acrylic painting with a giant tree trunk and branches emerging from the frame, and paint leaves in brown, black, and yellow with highlights in white.
Refine leaf textures with a small brush after using a flat brush, then add white water lines with a liner brush to heighten depth in the oval acrylic landscape.
We all love the beauty of nature and love painting landscapes.
But what if we learned to paint in a new and exciting way instead of painting the same way always?
In this class, we will learn to paint a mountain landscape in an oval shape! No, we won't paint on an oval canvas but paint an oval landscape on our regular rectangular canvas.
You will learn various art supplies, acrylic techniques, and color theory.. and I'll be sharing with you lots of tips and tricks along the way. If you have followed my others classes, you know how much I focus on techniques, which you can use to create any other painting. And in this class also, I'll tell you about every detail of working with acrylics and creating this amazing masterpiece.
Colors I used in this class:
Titanium White
Black
Teal Blue
Prussian Blue (Phthalo blue)
Prism violet
Cadmium Yellow
Sap green
Dark green (Viridian hue)
Brown (burnt sienna)
I’ve divided this painting into 8 steps - starting with the sky and clouds, we will learn to paint snow-covered mountain peaks, then some gorgeous green trees along with some pine trees, and finally we will learn to paint a big tree coming out of the oval frame!
So I hope you are excited to dive into the class & create this painting all on your own and learn some new skills to create your own artwork.
If u want to learn these things, go ahead and enroll in my course and I'd love to see u inside the class.
